THE SHENANDOAH DISTRICT OF THE CHURCH OF THE BRETHREN

The Shenandoah District of the Church of the Brethren contains 100 congregations and is comprised of congregations located in the counties and cities therein of Albemarle, Augusta, Bath, Frederick, Highland, Greene, Louisa, Orange, Page, Madison, Rockbridge, Rockingham, Shenandoah and Warren in the State of Virginia, and the counties of Hardy, Pendleton and Pocahontas in West Virginia.

“Together we reach out with Jesus…
…  to do the work of the great commission making disciples, baptizing, and teaching,
…  to continue ministries of healing, peace, justice and grace to all,
…  to encourage, challenge and equip our congregations for mission,
…  to nurture congregational life seeking the blessings of the Holy Spirit through prayer,
…  to identify the gifts of people and call them into ministry.”

The Shenandoah District offers us a rich connection with other brothers and sisters in Christ. Together, we sponsor our Christian Camp, Brethren Woods, enjoy a yearly District Conference, and find support and resources to be the church God has called us to be.

We encourage you to learn more about the Shenandoah District of the Church of the Brethren by going to their website.
